From São Tomé city
Leave the capital past the airport and follow the coast road through Guadalupe. Lagoa Azul is about 16 km from the centre, Neves about 27 km, and the end of the road at Santa Catarina roughly 40 km.

By shared taxi
Yellow taxis and minibuses for Guadalupe and Neves leave from the market area in the capital when full. They are cheap but drop you on the main road; Lagoa Azul is a short walk from it, while Roça Agostinho Neto is a few kilometres inland from Guadalupe. Return transport thins out in the afternoon.
Getting around
Sights are strung along 40 km of road with little public transport between them, so keep your car for the day. Tracks down to beaches may be rough after rain.
There are no fuel stations to rely on beyond the capital area — set off with a full tank.
