From the airport, each roça is roughly 15–25 minutes away. Guests of the plantation hotels are collected on arrival.

Roads
Outside Santo António most roads are unpaved, narrow and shaded by forest. They are passable in ordinary conditions but slow, and muddy after heavy rain. Hire a driver rather than a self-drive car.
Combine Sundy in the morning with Belo Monte and Praia Banana in the afternoon, when the light on the beach is best.
